I'm Morten Laske, managing director of duveka GmbH and, by stubborn choice, still a hands-on Business Central developer and AI engineer.
That combination is the whole point of this blog. I run a German Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central practice and still write AL myself, wire up Copilot extensions and break things in production. Almost everything here comes straight off that workbench, the problems are real, the fixes shipped and the opinions are the kind you only earn by being on the hook for the code and the business at the same time.
So when I hit something that costs me a day, a Copilot prompt that won't behave, a 502 deep in a PDF pipeline, an AppSource validation that contradicts the docs, I write down what actually worked, so the next person (often future me) doesn't lose that day.
Away from the screen, I'm happily married and the proud dad of three wonderful kids. Outside of Business Central and AI, what I really love is the craft itself, coding and the quieter pleasure of organizing and putting things in order: systems, processes, a messy backlog, a tangled repo. Turning a bit of chaos into structure is the same instinct at home as it is in an ERP.
And the work itself is a genuine passion. I love building alongside my two business partners and the whole duveka team, pushing things forward, shipping, moving the needle. For me the job isn't separate from what I enjoy; it is what I enjoy.
